Into the woods we go...
We are situated at the Beautiful Bear venue, nestled at the edge of West Wood - a two hundred-acre area of woodland near the village of Souldrop in north Bedfordshire. West Wood's history reaches far back into ancient Britain. It was recorded as woodland in the Domesday Book in 1086 and this sense of history is maintained by the still extensive ancient and semi-natural broad leaved woodland - comprising mainly of oak, ash, hazel and field maple - and has networks of rides and occasional open grasslands, or 'forest lawns'.
Workshops
We have a varied, creative and wide range of workshops on offer throughout the year ahead. These will include one off seasonal celebrations and gatherings.

We have some highly skilled practitioners, experts of traditional crafts, musicians, creatives, poets, performers and artists joining us across the year.
We are confident that there is something here for everyone.
Courses
We are hosting a variety of courses for a range of different ages. Our course facilitators are knowledgeable, passionate and bring a wealth of expertise in their tailored alternative learning experiences. These are largely across the areas of the arts, performance, ecology and the natural environment, apothecary, and wellbeing, to name but a few.
