Poetry Writing Workshop
We are so excited to welcome a man who needs no introduction to The Nest to deliver a two hour workshop designed to inspire and empower young poets, writers, and performers.

David Bowden, aka the Word Guerrilla, is a fireball of talent and an A-class wordplay juggler who will be joining us to share his mesmerising, wildly creative, multi-instrumentalist, beat boxing, rapping, looping expertise in a performance-based, hands-on workshop using his trademark blend of music, rap and humour. As a former primary school headteacher and educator, Dave understands the importance of empowering people with language and words; through the power of words, Dave seeks to enable people of all ages to become inspired, to become thinkers and to become individuals. Based in Northamptonshire, Word Guerrilla delivers its brand of spoken word poetry across the country, with a key focus on developing the confidence in people to write and be creative, promoting engagement, productivity and wellbeing.

There won't be a word out of place in this highly engaging, playful, lively, animated, magical, all-around inspiring workshop for the children and adults who attend.

This workshop is aimed at children 8-12 years old.

A Traditional Christmas Story
We have a traditional, rustic and magical Christmas Workshop running throughout December on every Sunday leading up to Christmas at The Beautiful Bear Venue.
In this, we will explore traditional crafts, storytelling with a shadow puppet show, and the true spirit of Christmas. Our intention is to enchant the children with the magic of the season – creating Christmas decorations, writing and posting their Christmas letters, making reindeer food and hot chocolate treats to take home, and of course, there will be a gift and visit from Father Christmas himself!

We have limited availability and booking is essential. We are really hoping to capture the natural magic of the season in our woodland setting to create wide smiles and full hearts in all of those who visit us.
We have set aside several tickets for those who find themselves in financial difficulty. Please do reach out to us at info@the-nest.co.uk writing for the attention of Amy and we will be happy to support you in attending at our discretion.
