Welcome...
We provide an outdoor, nature-based, holistic learning and wellbeing hub that nurtures the whole child through seasonal and cyclical exploration, and immersive experiences that spark intellectual curiosity, develop spiritual connection, nurture emotional wellbeing, and support physical development.
We invite children into our community to discover nature's wonder and to share our love of learning in a transformative and inspiring outdoor environment.
"Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better." - Albert Einstein.

Into the woods we go...

We are based at our home in Riseley village in north Bedfordshire. We have a purpose-built cabin along with a spacious garden complete with play areas, vegetable patch, apothecary garden, sand pit, mud kitchen and a wealth of play and exploration opportunities. We have our outdoor classroom area where we learn about what is happening in nature as the wheel of the year turns - learning through the seasons, as nature intended.
We have direct access to the Bedfordshire countryside where we can observe diverse eco-systems, such as grasslands, meadows, woodlands, lakes, ponds and rivers. We are surrounded by farmland and natural beauty, and incorporate these into our learning offer.

Sessions
Here you can find out more about our weekly sessions that are taking place. These will be updated each half term and will run alongside our full and half day service for children 5-9 years old.
Sessions are outdoor based, nature inspired, child lead and Montessori informed.
Workshops
We have a varied, creative and wide range of workshops on offer throughout the year ahead. These will include one off seasonal celebrations and gatherings.
We have some highly skilled practitioners, experts of traditional crafts, musicians, creatives, poets, performers and artists joining us across the year.
We are confident that there is something here for everyone.
Courses
We are hosting a variety of courses for a range of different ages. Our course facilitators are knowledgeable, passionate and bring a wealth of expertise in their tailored alternative learning experiences. These are largely across the areas of the arts, performance, ecology and the natural environment, apothecary, and wellbeing, to name but a few.
